Club Answer operated for years as one of Gangnam’s most elaborate nightclubs, built across three stories in Cheongdam-dong with chandeliers, marbled floors, leather seating, a giant first-floor stage, VIP tables on the second floor, a balcony overlooking the dancefloor, private rooms on the third floor, and — notably — a swimming pool. It was megaclub-tier in production and Cheongdam-facing in its audience, programming electro-house and commercial electronic with international bookings including Paul Van Dyk and Benny Benassi.
The venue has since rebranded and now operates as Avenue 535, with a similar format and location. The name change reflects an updated positioning rather than a change in the fundamental venue concept — the Cheongdam megaclub model with high production, international headliners, and a dressed-up Korean crowd for whom the experience is as much about the occasion as the music.
For the purposes of Seoul scene navigation: Answer/Avenue 535 represents the Gangnam megaclub category with the highest production ceiling. It is not on the underground circuit and the economic model, crowd demographics, and programming philosophy are categorically different from the Itaewon rooms. Understanding what Answer was clarifies what the rest of Seoul’s electronic scene is defined against.
Location: 125-16 Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (now operating as Avenue 535). RA: ra.co/clubs/8348 (archived under “The Answer”).
