Getting Home Planner · Seoul

Seoul’s last train, night bus or a taxi.

Pick where you are and when you’re leaving. You’ll see the last trains from each station in each direction, the night buses that stop nearby and which way they go, and what a taxi will cost at that hour.

Where are you?
Which night?

Give or take ten minutes. Trains and buses can run up to ten minutes early or late, and a missed last train can’t be caught up. Plan ahead: aim for the train before the last one, and know your night bus or taxi backup before you head out.

Seoul’s owl buses (심야버스) have an N in front of the number and cost 2,500 won by card. The times are the first and last departures from each end of the route, so a bus reaches the middle of the city later than that.

Getting one

  • The hardest pickups are Gangnam Station, Hongik Univ. Station Exit 9 and Jongno, and Thursday and Friday nights are the worst.
  • Walk a block or two off the main strip before you book. Drivers avoid the gridlock right outside the clubs.
  • Kakao T is the main app. Uber books local taxis too, and K.ride signs you up without a Korean phone number.
  • If a foreign card fails in Kakao T, choose to pay the driver directly.
  • Leaving Seoul adds 20 percent on top.

How this was checked. Last trains come from each station’s weekday, Saturday and holiday timetables in Kakao Map, checked on 10 October 2026, and match Seoul Metro’s weekday late service to 1am. Night bus routes, stops, hours and intervals come from the city’s official Seoul bus information system, checked the same day, and the routes on the map are drawn from their real stops. Taxi fares come from the city fare table. Timetables change, and the last train out of each station differs by a few minutes, so check yours in Naver Map or Kakao Map before you order another round. Live bus times are on TOPIS. Spotted something out of date? Tell me.
