Nyapi opened in August 2022, co-founded by Daewon, Juheum, and ffan — the name drawn from Nyagan-Pinanso (야간피난소), meaning “night shelter.” The venue occupies the third floor of an Itaewon building, with a CMY pink interior designed by Hugo Capablanca, whose graphic identity for the club became referenced internationally as an example of thoughtful club visual design. The Dance Stack 2 Funktion-One system was installed from the beginning.

The programming covers the global underground spectrum: Eric Duncan, An-i, Nicola Cruz, Pablo Romero, Studio Namsan, and Odopt have all played here. The club runs on a door-sales-only model, with contact via nyapiseoul@gmail.com for bookings. With 20K Instagram followers at @nyapi_seoul, it has built one of the more visible international profiles of any Seoul room its size.

Nyapi’s “Home of the Free” motto and its visual identity — a bricolage aesthetic assembled by ffan — give it a character that reads as distinct from both the Cakeshop/Faust techno axis and the megaclub Gangnam circuit. It occupies a middle register: internationally serious, visually-driven, warmer in programming range than the harder techno rooms.

Location: Itaewon-ro 187, 3F, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Instagram: @nyapi_seoul. RA: ra.co/clubs/203289.
